One check is a starting point.
Encode or decode a URL component safely, directly in your browser.
These utilities process the information you provide. They do not inspect your live site or confirm that a change has been published.
Does this tool guarantee better rankings?
No. Use the output to inform a specific improvement. Search performance depends on many factors beyond an individual check.
Can I use it without creating an account?
Yes. This browser-based utility does not require an account.
Where can I keep a history of my SEO work?
Use a verified project in the SEO workspace. Standalone tool results are separate from scheduled audit and Search Console history.
Encode individual values without breaking a whole URL.
The text “red & blue” becomes “red%20%26%20blue” when encoded as a URL component. That is useful for a parameter value; it is not a complete destination address.
Understanding the result
Choose the operation explicitly. Encode a value before inserting it into a URL using the appropriate URL-building API. Decode only data whose expected encoding you understand, and inspect the result before using it elsewhere.
Limitations
Decoding is not input validation and does not make an address safe to fetch. Malformed percent sequences can produce an error. Repeatedly encoding or decoding the same value may change its meaning. This utility does not fetch the resulting address.
Recommended next step
Check the final complete URL in your application’s parser and preserve its intended hostname, path and parameter boundaries.
Should I encode an entire website address with this tool?
This utility encodes components. Encoding an entire address can also encode its separators, which may not be what your application needs.
